Job Description - Head of Finance, Health & Beauty, North Asia

The challenge is to:

  • The Head of Finance, Health & Beauty, North Asia will shape the role of financial business partnership with the Managing Director, Health & Beauty, NA and the leadership team of the region to provide insights on financial performance and drive strategic priorities to deliver sustainable results.
  • Working with the leadership team to develop the overall strategy of Health & Beauty, NA, with responsibilities across the organisation including decision support, financial analysis, business strategy, leading change and collaboration, and reporting.
  • Lead the annual strategy and budget planning exercise, including the setting and managing of strategic and financial KPIs of the organisation. Coordinate the interim reforecasting process, working closely together with various stakeholders in shared services and functional teams across the wider group.
  • Direct and oversee business analysis work to provide timely and accurate financial analysis and insights for management’s decision support including but not limited to sales and marketing promotions, omnichannel trends, store’s day-to-day operations and efficiencies, store development and remodel, investment projects etc.
  • Review feasibility studies for store expansion/major refurbishment and lease renewal from business units and offer constructive comments. 
  • Provide leadership and actively participate in the development, execution and continuous evaluation of wider group projects and initiatives related to Health and Beauty.
  • Consolidate multi market results in North Asia to facilitate monitoring, discussion and to strategically plan for financial performance enhancement and create business opportunities.
  • Provide guidance to assist business units during the regular risk management reviews and complying with organisation’s audit and risk management requirements.
  • Monitor cash movement and identify any capital injection needs for business units. Act as a bridge between business units and Group Treasury to ensure timely injection to support business needs.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing finance team giving them opportunities to be their best and promoting inclusivity and recognition to drive productivity and business performance. Inspiring and energising team members by empowering them to do their jobs at a consistently high standard and ensuring they have a clear understanding of the technical strategy.

Do you have experience in Finance?

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related discipline, CPA or equivalent qualification.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in auditing, management accounting, business performance analysis or financial modelling. Big 4 experience preferred. Experience in FMCG or Retail sectors preferred.
  • Analytical, numbers orientated and an eye for detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex situations and multiple stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills, customer orientated and able to communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Strong self-motivation, personal integrity and process improvement orientated.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
