Head of Network Services, IT

Position Description

This role is responsible for the group’s enterprise network in 21 locations around the world. The person will report to Head of Infrastructure/Deputy Head of Tech Ops and lead a team including staff from an external service provider. The role is accountable for five keys areas: 1) Overseeing Network Operation and Lifecycle in ITSM, 2) Driving Innovation and Developing Strategy, 3) Controlling Budget and Costs, 4) Delivering IT projects, and 5) Developing staff and Retaining talent.

Key Areas of Responsilities

1. Lead a matrixed team with members from various internal functional areas and external managed service providers to deliver network services end-to-end from design, implementation to operations
2. Be responsible for the technical design and governance of network across on-premises and cloud infrastructure
3. Collaborate with the Cloud provider, Information Security team, and various departments to integrate network team solutions
4. Act as technical lead on network related RFI/RFPs, contracts, scope of work, and negotiate with vendors who offers the best solution in line with goals
5. Working with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technology solutions
6. Communicate with senior management across collaborative engagement and goals
7. Accountable for plan, forecast, identify, and implement resource requirements for complex network systems
8. Accountable for the delivery of a variety of concurrent projects of varying scales in cooperation with other IT departments
9. Top level manager of network operations and all network support services and act as the top escalation point for complex network issues
10. Provide leadership and direction of the network team. Develop staff and retain talent

Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree or above in IT/Computer Sciecem Electrical Engineering or similiar field
2. 15 or more years relevant experience including 10 years of managerial experience in leading a network team with more than 10 persons from an enterprise-level environment, preferably in finance sector.
3. Solid experience in network administration in LAN/MAN/WAN/SD-WAN/Cloud Network Architecture (AWS & Azure), Micro-Segmentation Firewall, Wireless LAN, VPN, IPS, WAF, SLB, Network Management, Performance Monitoring, and Automation Tools.
4. Extensive knowledge and understanding of network technologies and a vision of future trends across AWS and Azure Cloud adoptions
5. Extensive experience in designing and delivering complex network projects
6. Strong vendor management experience across negotiation and deployment
7. Significant experience in managing network operations and services, and understanding of ITIL framework
8. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
9. Strong influencing skills to work with all levels of stakeholders
10. Excellent Communication skills in English and Mandarin
11. Certifications in CCIE, Azure, and AWS would be a great plus
