Head of Platforms - Electronic Trading Engineering

A top‑tier global investment bank in HONG KONG is looking to hire a Head of Platforms to lead the strategy, engineering, and production excellence of their electronic trading engineering technology stack across APAC.

This is a high‑impact leadership role partnering closely with Front Office, Quants, and global engineering teams to deliver next‑gen trading capabilities.

You’ll own and drive:

• FIX connectivity – client onboarding, certification, low‑latency optimisation

• OMS/EMS platforms – equities, futures, options

• Algorithmic trading systems – SOR, execution algos, market microstructure

• Exchange connectivity & regulatory readiness across regional markets

• 3rd‑Level Support – acting as the senior escalation point for complex production issues

What we’re looking for:

• Deep expertise in electronic trading systems (bank, broker, or vendor)

• Strong leadership across platform strategy, engineering, and production stability and ability to work with support teams, QA/Testing, software engineering teams

• Hands‑on understanding of FIX, OMS/EMS, exchange protocols, and low‑latency trading

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver at scale and possess very good under production support and incident management experience
