Head of Trade Services

One of the Local Bank in Hong Kong is hiring The Head of Trade Services, this position will oversee the full spectrum of trade services operations including bills and factoring, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and risk control while driving service excellence for our corporate clients.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Trade Services Department, responsible for supervising trade service instruments covering Letters of Credit, Letter of Guarantees, Import/Export bills, and related trade finance products
• Supervise daily operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Reviews and makes important decisions on complex matters relating to operations of Bills and Factoring
• Ensure trade operations in compliance with the policies and guidelines laid down by the Bank, especially those of AML/Compliance
• Establish and enforce operational controls to mitigate risks, including fraud prevention and incident reporting
• Review operational workflow and provide recommendations to ensure efficient services and compliance with the Bank’s guidelines
• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to team members, fostering a culture of compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Perform strategic and manpower planning with a view to enhance the performance of the Department

Incumbent Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related discipline; professional qualifications in trade finance or banking operations preferred
• Minimum 15 years of experience in trade finance operations, with at least 8 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of Government regulations and Bank's operational policies and procedures
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities
