Department/Hospital\: Health Information and Records Department, Tseung Kwan O Hospital
Pay: HK$36,465 to HK$67,526 (HGPS Point 14 to 27) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the daily operation of the health information and medical records services.
2. Establish, update, enforce and improve the standard of health information and records services.
3. Ensure all aspects of security, safety and confidentiality within the health information and records services.
4. Implement quality assurance programmes to ensure long term improvement of the health information and records services; in areas such as Patient Master Index, hospital statistics and morbidity data, etc.
5. Assist in liaising with other departments and hospitals on areas related to health information and records management.
6. Assist in the promulgation of information security and privacy and promote staff awareness on privacy protection
7. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Entry Requirements:
A degree from a local university, or equivalent.
Preferable Attributes:
1. (a) A degree//higher degree in Health Information Management/Health Informatics; OR
(b) A degree plus
(i) a postgraduate diploma in Health Information Management/Health Informatics;
or
(ii) a higher degree specialising in Health Information Management;
or
(iii) a higher degree specialising in Health Informatics;
or
(iv) an advanced diploma in Health Informatics.
2. 2 years of post-degree qualification working experience is preferred.
3. Knowledge of clinical coding, medical terminology and health care/hospital statistics.
4. Detail-minded, ability to work independently, under pressure and take on multiple tasks.
5 Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
