We are partnering with a prestigious, top-tier global financial institution with a deep-rooted commitment to the Hong Kong and APAC markets. With a robust workforce and an extensive international network, our client provides a full spectrum of corporate banking services—including syndicated loans, treasury, and structured finance—to a diverse portfolio of multinational corporations and financial institutions.
This is a strategic leadership role designed for an HR professional who thrives in a stable yet evolving environment. You will bridge the gap between global strategy and local expertise, acting as a key architect for the bank’s people agenda.
The Role: Strategic HR Leadership
As the HRBP Director, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior business heads, translating complex business objectives into actionable people strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Advisory: Drive the people agenda for designated business units, providing expert counsel on workforce planning, organizational development, and talent management.
Leadership: Lead and mentor a dedicated HRBP team to deliver excellence in talent acquisition, employee retention, and performance management.
Culture & Change Management: Act as a primary change agent, facilitating culture transformation initiatives and enhancing employee engagement across the Hong Kong office.
Operational Excellence: Streamline HR processes to improve efficiency and lead high-impact HR projects or regional initiatives.
Total Rewards & Compliance: Partner with the Head of HR on rewards management, succession planning, and ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
Requirements & Competencies
The ideal candidate is a sophisticated communicator who can navigate the complexities of a large-scale banking environment with an innovative spirit.
Experience: 15+ years of comprehensive HR experience, with a significant portion spent within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading HRBP teams and managing high-volume or specialist recruitment activities.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interface effectively with C-suite and senior management.
Values: A commitment to high ethical standards, integrity, and the ability to champion the firm’s mission and vision.
Language: Fluency in English and Cantonese is essential for this role.

Our client offers the stability of a global industry leader combined with the agility of a growing regional business.
