A fast-growing fintech company in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead its people function. This is a high-impact role that combines strong operational HR leadership with strategic influence at a pivotal growth stage of the company.
Job Description
HR Operations Leadership
End-to-end ownership of recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle administration, employee relations and internal HR communication
Manage compensation & benefits cycle (salary review, bonus, equity/RSU refresh, benefits renewal) together with finance
Oversee payroll processing accuracy, MPF, tax reporting and statutory compliance for Hong Kong (and potentially cross-border elements)
Maintain HRIS data integrity, produce regular HR reporting & analytics for management
Strategic HR & Organisational Development
Lead periodic review and update of HR policies, employee handbook, internal guidelines and ensure alignment with HK employment law, PDPO and fintech regulatory expectations
Drive workforce planning, headcount forecasting, organisational design and structure changes as the company scales (new teams, new locations, role grading)
Partner closely with senior management and department heads to design and roll out a modern, fair and effective performance management framework (goal setting, calibration, feedback, rating & consequence management)
Lead the development and execution of company-wide learning & development strategy, including core training programs, leadership development, technical upskilling and compliance training
Initiate and lead people-related projects (culture building, engagement surveys, DEI initiatives, hybrid/remote policy refinement, talent review & succession)
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline; postgraduate qualification or CIPD/equivalent certification is a plus
6 years of progressive HR generalist experience with proven track record managing full-cycle HR operations in a fast-growing environment (preferably fintech, technology, financial services or professional services)
Strong experience designing / refreshing performance management systems, workforce planning and organisational design during scaling phases
Solid knowledge of Hong Kong employment law, MPF, tax and data privacy requirements; familiarity with cross-border HR issues is advantageous
Strategic yet hands-on mindset - able to move comfortably between operational execution and senior-level advisory work
Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and presentation skills
Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese
Proficient in modern HRIS and advanced Excel/PowerPoint
