Responsibilities

The appointees will support a wide range of functions of the Office in implementing promotions, events, visitors’ management and community engagement to highlight the strengths and achievements of the University.

The appointees will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of corporate communications and public affairs duties for a long-term career development.

He/She will be required to:

  • Support University events including ceremonies, visits, conferences and meetings, etc
  • Help receive guests and introduce the University to them with updated information and tours
  • Help organize community engagement projects and activities such as opening of new buildings and campus
  • Provide writing and editorial support for promotional materials
  • Support the administrative duties of different teams including data collection and entry, reports preparations, meetings preparation and venue set up for events and ceremonies
  • Handle any special and ad hoc projects to facilitate the development of the University
  • Support the Office in the other aspects of work including corporate communications, event management, marketing and other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements

  • A recognised degree or an equivalent qualification with not less than 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in events management, hospitality, corporate communication, and public relations
  • Proven records in providing support to public affairs activities and events
  • An excellent command of written and verbal English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua being an advantage
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Chinese word processing
  • Experience in VIP guest management is preferred
  • The ability to handle projects independently and meet tight schedules
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills

Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

 

Salary and Fringe Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
