Insurance Agency Responsible Officer (RO)

Airstar Bank Limited, a jointly established entity between Xiaomi Corporation and AMTD Group, is a virtual bank licensed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Responsibilities:

1. Liaise with the Insurance Authority for the agency license application.
2. Act as a Responsible Officer with management responsibilities and duties to supervise regulated activities.
3. Establish internal control and appropriate risk control mechanisms for the insurance business to ensure operational continuity in compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
4. Identify and implement product distribution strategies of life, general and other insurance products to meet business goal of the company.
5. Work closely with product providers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of initiatives in product & proposition strategies to achieve sales objectives.
6. Perform new product providers’ and products evaluation process, ongoing product due diligence of insurance products.
7. Conduct market research on insurance products and internal analyses to ensure product competitiveness of platform compared with market from time to time.
8. Coordinate with relevant departments to perform the premium financing business and other insurance-related business.
9. Handle ad hoc tasks/projects as required by Management.

Requirements:

1. A Hong Kong permanent resident or holds an appropriate immigration visa or permit which does not restrict the applicant from carrying on regulated activities in Hong Kong
2. Bachelor degree or above in business related disciplines.
3. At least 8-10 years working experience, including not less than 3 years of management experience, in life and general insurance or relevant products, preferably working in insurance or wealth management field.
4. Preferably a former Responsible Officer approved by the Insurance Authority
5. Sales-oriented, self-motivated, customer focused, result-oriented, outgoing, strong analytical and good problem-solving skills.
6. Holder of IIQE 1, 2, 3, 5, and/or MPF Intermediaries licenses, as well as any other related insurance qualifications.
7. Proficient in both written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
