About Your Company

King Deux is partnering with a premier, fundamental-driven, long-biased hedge fund specializing in Greater China equities. Our investment philosophy is rooted in deep-dive, bottom-up research, aiming to identify structural winners in the A-share, H-share, and ADR markets. We believe the best investment insights come from understanding businesses from the inside out. Unlike traditional finance-only shops, we value real-world operational expertise to help us decode complex tech ecosystems and identify multi-year secular trends.

We are seeking an Internet Equity Research Analyst with a non-traditional background. Instead of standard investment banking or sell-side tracks, we want a tech industry insider. You will leverage your operational DNA to dissect major Chinese technology giants, evaluate their competitive moats, and help drive high-conviction investment decisions.

About your role

• Fundamental Research: Conduct rigorous, bottom-up fundamental research on public companies across the A/H/ADR internet and technology landscapes.

• Operational Dissection: Utilize your industry background to evaluate product-market fit, monetization strategies, traffic dynamics, and corporate execution of major tech players.

• Proprietary Channel Checks: Leverage your professional network to conduct primary research, industry expert interviews, and scrupulous channel checks.

• Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain detailed financial models, market-sizing frameworks, and valuation analyses (training provided for exceptional industry candidates).

• Investment Recommendations: Formulate and articulate high-conviction, long-term investment theses to the Portfolio Manager.

What you will need to succeed

• The Industry Insider: You have spent 5+ years working inside major Chinese technology giants (e.g., Tencent, Alibaba, ByteDance, Meituan, PDD, Baidu, NetEase, etc.).

• Core Functional Experience: You have a proven track record in Product Management, Business Development, Account Management, or Strategic Partnerships, giving you deep insight into how these companies actually acquire users, generate revenue, and scale.

• The Investor Mindset: You possess an insatiable curiosity about business models, competitive strategy, and why certain companies win while others fail. You look at tech not just as an employee, but as an owner.

• Analytical & Grounded: Strong quantitative skills with the ability to translate qualitative operational insights into financial realities.

• Language & Communication: Native or professional fluency in Mandarin and English is required.

• Mobility: Currently based in Shenzhen, Shanghai, or Hong Kong, with a strong willingness to relocate to Hong Kong.
