Investment Associate

The hiring company is the corporate venture capital arm and a wholly-owned subsidiary of a growing global organization. We are looking for an Investment Associate to join the investment team in Hong Kong. The team focuses on global investment opportunities in early-stage technology companies and venture capital fund managers in sectors such as mobility, smart city, retail, property, fintech, new energy, and sustainability. The Investment Associate will play a key role in sourcing, executing, and managing investments.

Responsibilities:

• Source new investment opportunities
• Conduct independent research on industry and technology trends
• Analyze business models, competitiveness, and strategic synergies of target companies
• Perform financial modeling, valuation, and return analysis
• Participate in deal structuring and preparation of legal documents
• Prepare materials for Investment Committee review and internal discussions
• Actively manage and monitor the investment portfolio
• Support investment, business alliance, and partnership activities
• Perform other ad hoc duties as needed

Requirements:

• Degree holder in a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in venture capital, private equity, corporate investment, technology startups, investment banking, or management consulting
• Strong analytical skills including research, financial modeling, and qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Sector knowledge and networks in Smart Mobility, Smart City, PropTech, RetailTech, New Energy, and Sustainability is a plus
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin in business settings
