Investment Director

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Investment Director .

In this role you will:

• Manage the insurance asset portfolio within risk limits, tactical asset allocation ranges and compliance policy monitoring
• Generate long-term returns for policyholders and shareholders.
• Engage with senior stakeholders as well as with other functions on behalf of investment team including representing investment team in various technical and governance forums.
• Actively participate in governance processes and monitor the performance of asset managers.
• Produce and review analysis, investment strategy and make asset allocation decisions to support business goals and be alert to improvement opportunities for the investment portfolio.
• Lead on investment governance initiatives and reporting alignment for the investment function.

To be successful you will need:

• Strong understanding of insurance industry balance sheets, financial analysis and regulatory regimes.
• Experience managing insurance portfolios across multiple return and priority financial metrics.
• Strong quantitative and technical expertise, professional knowledge of portfolio optimization, portfolio construction, equity and hedging strategies for insurance portfolios is a requirement.
• Strong understanding of insurance products, liability modelling and assumptions.
• Strategic investment perspective, able to research and formulate opinions & conclusions leading to the development of strategies and tactics.
• Strong people management, team building and organizational skills, proven success in partnering with diverse teams of professionals in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in both English and Chinese.
