Investment Risk Senior Director, Regional Insurer

A regional insurer is looking for an experienced risk professional to oversee investment, market, and ALM risks.

Your new role

• Assess and monitor investment, market, liquidity, and ALM risks.
  
• Develop and maintain KRIs, early warning indicators, and risk dashboards.
  
• Review investment proposals and provide risk‑based recommendations.
  
• Support the development of risk appetite, limits, and governance materials.
  
• Produce regular risk reports for senior management and risk committees.
  
• Collaborate with actuarial, investment, finance and other functions on risk methodologies and portfolio monitoring.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Fully qualified actuary (e.g., FSA, FIA, CERA) or equivalent designation.
  
• Strong expertise in investment and market risk frameworks. Exposure to alternative or private asset investments is preferred.
  
• Experience with ALM, market risk analytics, and investment risk assessment.
  
• Solid understanding of capital markets and risk measurement tools.
  
• Proficiency with Excel and analytics tools (e.g., VBA, Python, Bloomberg).
