Job Description - IT Infrastructure Manager (Retail Business)

Your new company

A fast-growing local retail business with strong presence across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Southeast Asia, operating 150+ retail stores and a rapidly expanding online / e-commerce business.

Your new role
As the IT Infrastructure Manager, reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will lead the regional infrastructure function across HK, China, and SEA markets. You will oversee the full spectrum of IT infrastructure including network, server, cloud, security, and database operations, ensuring high availability for both retail stores and online platforms.

Your responsibilities

Lead and supervise the Infrastructure Team, covering network engineers, system administrators, and database specialists.
Manage regional infrastructure operations supporting 150+ retail stores, distribution centers, corporate offices, and e-commerce platforms.
Oversee network performance, including SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi, POS connectivity, and retail store network stability.
Manage server and cloud environment (Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, Azure/AWS/Alibaba Cloud).
Oversee database administration (SQL Server, MySQL, or equivalent), ensuring data availability and integrity.
Ensure strong cybersecurity posture, including endpoint protection, identity management, access control, vulnerability management, and compliance.
Lead infrastructure refresh, upgrade, and lifecycle management (network hardware, POS devices, servers, storage, backup systems).
Manage Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity planning for regional operations.
Support e-commerce and digital retail technology-website infrastructure, payment gateways, API connections, CDN, and store-to-online integrations.
Plan and manage regional IT infrastructure budget, vendor performance, contract negotiation, and SLA governance.
Work closely with applications, e-commerce, and retail operations teams to ensure system reliability and business continuity.

What you'll need to succeed

8-12 years of IT Infrastructure experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial / team-lead role.
Strong technical background across network, server, cloud, and database operations.
Hands-on experience supporting retail environments (POS network, store connectivity, store opening setup) is highly preferred.
Experience managing regional infrastructure across HK, China, and/or SEA markets.
Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Retail, F&B, FMCG, or multi-site environment experience is a strong advantage.
