Job Description

As an IT Support professional, your main responsibilities will include:

Providing technical support to end-users for hardware, software and network-related issues.
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting IT-related problems to ensure minimal downtime.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems.
Coordinating with external vendors for hardware repairs and software upgrades.
Documenting technical issues and providing solutions for recurring challenges.
Assisting in IT-related projects and system implementations within the financial services industry.
Providing training and guidance to staff on the effective use of IT resources.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Support professional should have:

A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Solid understanding of Windows 10/11 and basic Windows Server concepts.
Familiarity with Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and basic permissions.
Practical experience with Hyper V and virtual machines.
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments, including on premises AD integrated with Azure AD / Entra ID.
Basic understanding of LAN, Wi Fi, VPN, and TCP/IP concepts, including firewall and routing principles.
Experience with FortiGate/Forti Firewall and FortiClient (or similar) for VPN and network security support is preferred.
Experience with audio visual and video conferencing systems (e.g., meeting room cameras, displays, control panels, Teams/Zoom/VC hardware).
Familiar with remote desktop and windows security patch for system checks and automation tasks is preferred but not essential.
