Java Full Stack Developer - Tier 1 Investment Bank

The team

You will join a global engineering team within Client Services, working closely with engineering leadership, product partners, architects, and business stakeholders. The team is driving a transformation in both culture and technology, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, high cadence delivery, and practical problem solving.

The position

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is hands-on and comfortable leading by example. This role will focus on building and evolving client-facing applications and orchestration capabilities that support customer due diligence and related business processes. There is also exposure to AI solutions development, with an expectation to apply AI/machine learning where it adds business value.

The role & responsibilities

1. Design and build solutions using microservice architecture.
2. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with a non-breaking approach.
3. Deliver new functionality and replacement solutions at a high cadence.
4. Own delivery end-to-end, from business discussion and requirements through development, testing, release, and production support.
5. Work closely with product teams to understand requirements and assess the impact of changes.
6. Support daily production releases and iterative deployment practices.
7. Help drive engineering excellence and strengthen engineering culture across global teams.
8. Remove delivery blockers and influence better engineering practices across teams.
9. Develop AI/machine learning solutions aligned with business goals and performance metrics.

The requirements

1. Extensive experience building applications using non-breaking principles, especially RESTful APIs.
2. Strong experience developing microservices through iterative delivery methods.
3. Experience working with Java, ideally version 17 or above.
4. Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and management.
5. Ability to break down business requirements and deliver them iteratively without long planning cycles.
6. Knowledge of CI/CD tooling on Kubernetes is a plus.
7. Familiarity with generative AI models, RAG, and AI agents, with practical implementation experience.
8. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
9. Strong command in English.
