Role Overview
As a Junior Trader at G-20 Group, you will support the day-to-day operations of our trading desk across multiple asset classes. Working closely with experienced traders, quantitative analysts, and developers, you will help ensure the smooth execution of trading strategies and contribute to operational efficiency. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a career in quantitative trading within a fast-paced and dynamic environment at a highly successful trading firm.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution and monitoring of trading strategies across global markets, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently
Monitor live trading systems and positions, escalating issues or anomalies to senior traders promptly
Assist in analysing market data and reviewing quantitative model outputs to support trading decisions
Track and report on risk exposures, helping to ensure strategies remain aligned with risk management protocols
Collaborate with traders, quants, and developers to support the refinement of trading algorithms and workflows
Stay informed on market trends, news, and economic events that may impact trading activity and volatility
Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of G-20 Group's trading systems, tools, and operational processes
Assist with trade reconciliation, booking, and post-trade reporting
Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier university
Strong interest in financial markets, with a foundational understanding of trading concepts, market microstructure, and risk management
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach with a willingness to learn
Preferred / Desirable Experience
Prior exposure to a trading floor, asset management, or financial services environment
Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar
Familiarity with options pricing, volatility concepts, and derivatives markets
Experience with data analysis tools or quantitative methods
