Role Overview:

This position plays a critical part in building and maintaining advanced data systems that support real-time and historical market data, risk, pricing, and analytics. You will collaborate closely with trading, quantitative, and electronic trading teams to deliver data-driven solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and support the stability and performance of the platform.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with KDB/Q
• Strong understanding of KDB+ tick architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning
• Proven experience working with large-scale datasets and high-availability KDB systems
• Experience in system design, development, testing, and production support
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and agile development practices
• Knowledge of cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, with Terraform and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java
• Understanding of market data systems and vendor platforms
• Experience working with quantitative, algorithmic, or trading teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable KDB systems for managing market data, risk, and analytics
• Build APIs that enable data analysis, signal generation, and strategy execution
• Collaborate with trading and quantitative teams to gather requirements and create data solutions
• Develop and troubleshoot software solutions, ensuring secure, efficient, and production-ready code
• Review peer code, identify automation opportunities, and enhance system stability
• Work with support teams to maintain platform reliability and performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 5+ years of practical experience with KDB/Q
• On-site availability to work in a permanent capacity
• Ability to work effectively within an agile environment
• Strong understanding of application resilience, security, and scalability
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, C/C++, or Java is advantageous
• Knowledge of market data systems and vendor platforms is preferred
