Macro Investment Vice President

You will play a highly visible role within the investment team, helping shape the firm's macro investment views and portfolio positioning across Greater China and global markets. You will generate investment ideas, contribute to portfolio construction and risk management, and support investment decisions across equities, fixed income, and commodity futures. Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct macroeconomic research across key market regimes including growth, inflation, policy, and liquidity, covering both China and global markets.
2. Generate actionable macro trade ideas across equities, fixed income, commodity futures, and cross-asset opportunities.
3. Research, develop, and maintain investment signals supporting asset allocation and trading decisions.
4. Monitor and analyze China onshore financial markets, including equities, fixed income, and commodity futures.
5. Partner closely with the CIO on portfolio construction, risk budgeting, and position reviews.
6. Contribute investment views and recommendations to portfolio management discussions.
7. Produce investor-facing research materials, including monthly market commentaries, quarterly outlook reports, and strategy presentations.
8. Track macroeconomic developments, policy changes, and market trends impacting portfolio positioning.
9. Support regulatory and governance requirements associated with an SFC-licensed asset management platform.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience in macro investing, macro research, macro portfolio management, or cross-asset strategy within a buy-side or institutional investment platform.
2. Buy-side experience preferred; candidates from sell-side macro strategy, rates, or commodities research teams will also be considered.
3. Strong understanding of China equity, fixed income, and commodity futures markets.
4. Specialists in fixed income or commodity futures are welcome to apply.
5. Proven ability to generate independent macro trade ideas and investment recommendations.
6. Experience covering China onshore futures markets is highly preferred.
7. Eligible to be approved as an SFC Responsible Officer, including relevant regulatory qualifications and management experience.
8. Strong analytical and investment research capabilities with experience translating macro views into investment decisions.
9. Fluency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to produce high-quality investment research and presentations in both languages.
10. Experience from a leading global macro hedge fund, asset manager, or institutional investment platform is highly desirable.
11. Qualified to be approved as an SFC Responsible Officer (RO) for a Hong Kong licensed asset management business.
