The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability IT infrastructure to ensure system service continuity
Conduct regular reviews of architecture and security systems, implementing appropriate measures to safeguard data confidentiality and integrity
Administer and maintain websites and data center equipment. Propose and implement disaster recovery plans, including conducting drill tests
Supervise the Infrastructure, Operation and Standard Section team to ensure tasks are performed timely. Provide technical guidance to improve service standards and support subordinates in solving complex operational problems
Regularly review and update IT policies and procedures. Monitor operational adherence to internal control standards
Manage the acquisition of software, hardware, and services. Evaluate vendors, review contract terms, and monitor contractor performance to ensure services meet agreed standards
Identify and arrange training for users to equip them with appropriate computer knowledge, as well as "Train-the-trainer" sessions for IT staff to update technical knowledge
Requirements:
Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in network management
Not less than 4 years of experience in information system security and standards/risk management
Practical experience in administering multiple operating systems, specifically Microsoft Windows Servers AD, Microsoft Clustering, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft System Configuration Manager
Experience in Microsoft Exchange Server implementation, OS migration, and website administration is a definite advantage
Familiarity with common Windows-based application software with hands-on troubleshooting experience
Strong project management skills and excellent communication capabilities
