We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager, Secured Lending.

Principal responsibilities

• Maintain a robust underwriting operating model for secured lending, ensuring consistent application of underwriting standards, service levels and quality expectations.
• Supervise a team responsible for credit approval for secured lending products, providing coaching, oversight and clear performance expectations.
• Oversee an offshore team managing the end-to-end mortgage underwriting process, ensuring effective governance, quality and turnaround times.
• Drive effective credit risk mitigation through disciplined implementation of underwriting controls, ongoing monitoring, and timely remediation of issues.
• Lead and prioritize underwriting activities to deliver sustainable performance and strong customer outcomes, supported by effective stakeholder engagement.
• Exercise sound credit judgement on individual cases and appropriate risk-adjusted pricing.
• Translate underwriting strategy into clear operational priorities and actions, delivering a high-quality, professional service to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in credit risk, ideally covering retail banking products and secured lending.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across a broad stakeholder group; resilient and adaptable in a changing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of credit risk management, particularly within personal financial services and secured lending.
• Strong ownership mindset and service orientation, with a track record of improving efficiency and effectiveness of customer and colleague journeys.
• High proficiency in English, Chinese and Putonghua (written and spoken).
