Job Summary

Acting as a Lead in the engineering team to drive a scalable, maintainable products and improve engineering practices. Especially with Singapore/ Hong Kong-focused projects, working closely with different business units and driving the technical and architecture design to achieve the Company's goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead design and architecture discussions for new features and platform improvements; own technical decisions and trade-offs.
  • Lead to provide end-to-end leadership for the technology integration of Libertycoin Payment Services, LibertyConnect Notification Services, Finance systems integrations across internal and external systems.
  • Work closely with the Regional Architecture team to define and document the target state / North star for the Market tech landscape.
  • Manage integration with payment gateways, processors, banks, fintech partners, and thirdparty vendors.
  • Write and review code, implement critical components, and unblock the team through hands-on contributions.
  • Mentor and grow engineers: provide feedback, conduct 1:1s, support career development and hiring.
  • Plan and deliver work: break down requirements, estimate effort, prioritize tasks, drive sprint execution and releases.
  • Ensure quality and reliability: Leverage AI assisted coding to drive productivity, enforce code reviews, testing strategy (unit/integration/e2e), observability and monitoring.
  • Drive CI/CD, automated testing and deployment pipelines; improve development productivity and reduce lead time.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps and Stakeholders to define requirements into technical solutions, acceptance criteria and delivery timelines.
  • Manage technical debt: identify, prioritize and drive remediation work alongside feature delivery.
  • Ensure security, compliance and performance, best practices are followed- Embed shift-left security model, threat modeling into design reviews earlier in SDLC.
  • Track and report engineering metrics (velocity, cycle time, defect rate, availability) and act on them.

Job Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with 2-4+ years in a technical lead or senior engineering role.
  • Strong programming experience in at least one backend/front-end language ( Java 8 and
  • latest version, Spring boot, Spring MVC, Angular, React)
  • Proven system design skills for building scalable, distributed systems (microservices, event-driven architectures).
  • Experience in insurance, banking or fintech services.
  • Familiarity with payment compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • AI-Assisted Development, testing & Debugging : Experience using GitHub Copilot Agent mode for rapid prototyping, debugging, autonomously correct code issues and iterative development.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching, and messaging systems.
  • Familiarity with testing strategies, automated test frameworks and observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing).
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in vendor management.
