Marine Underwriter

You will be responsible for evaluating, pricing, and underwriting marine risks across Hull, Cargo, and Marine Liability. You'll work closely with brokers and partners to deliver tailored solutions while maintaining profitability and compliance with underwriting standards.

• Assess and underwrite marine insurance risks in line with company guidelines
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and intermediaries
• Analyze market trends to support portfolio development
• Negotiate terms and conditions to secure quality business
• Collaborate with regional and global teams on strategy and product development
• Ensure risks are evaluated accurately and efficiently

• 2+ years of marine underwriting experience (Hull, Cargo, or Liability)
• Strong analytical mindset with sound risk assessment skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Familiarity with regional marine markets preferred
• Professional qualifications (ACII, ANZIIF) are a plus
