"Global Futures and Options Limited (GFO-X)”, a UK FCA-authorised and regulated MTF, is seeking a Market Operations Analyst to join our growing team in Hong Kong.

GFO-X is the UK's first regulated and centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives. GFO-X has partnered with LCH SA which will offer clearing of Bitcoin index futures and options contracts traded on GFO-X. This will be made available through a new segregated clearing service, LCH DigitalAssetClear. GFO-X services large global institutional participants who require a regulated, institutional-grade trading venue for digital asset derivatives, including bitcoin index futures and options.

You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team bringing the features of traditional derivative markets to the rapidly expanding digital asset arena.

In this role, you will oversee the venue during the Preopen and Open periods until the responsibility transitions to UK Operations and various onboarding tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team based in Hong Kong to enhance our automated testing coverage.

We are looking for a candidate with a blend of project management and business analysis skills, along with a demonstrated history of success in an operations team, ideally with experience in a supervisory role

The scope of the role will involve liaison with various internal departments - Sales and Membership, Compliance, Trade Surveillance, Finance and Risk, Technology, IT Support and interacting with our member clients, external vendors, and GFO-X CCP partner.

Responsibilities:

• Start of Day Operations: Making sure the Venue Opens in an orderly fashion and dealing with any issues that may arise


• Take over pre-open responsibilities from IT support such as Treasury file / Open Interest / Member file upload


• Pre-open reconciliation Checks – MDP / Member file / Assisting with TPS on pre-morning checks


• Handle any issues arising from Preopen / Open Auction: Market events such as a Trading halt / Circuit breaker, etc., including communication to clients.


• Oversight of Onboarding, making sure that any new client or vendor onboard runs smoothly, and existing clients/vendors are receiving a “Platinum” service


• Project work: Work closely with Quality Assurance team to extensively improve GFO-X automated test coverage.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years working experience in operations preferably with supervisory experience


• Degree holder in related field (finance, technology, business administration, etc) or equivalent industry experience preferred.


• Exposure to institutional grade exchange platforms – Eurex, CME, ICE, HKEX, SFE


• Knowledge of financial products including equities, commodities, bonds and derivatives is a must.


• Knowledge of MIFID Pre and post trade, instrument and transaction reporting preferred but not essential


• Knowledge in operational workflows and processes


• Good organisational skills with strategic mindset.


• Experience with tools such as JIRA, CONFLUENCE, TEAMS, EXCEL, WORD


• Ability to work in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.


• Strong communication skills and fluent spoken and written English.


• SQL, Python, Powerbi knowledge a benefit but not essential
