Pay        \:     

HK$60,488 to HK$87,341 (HGPS Pt 25 to Pt 33) per month including Monthly Allowance
 

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1.     Conduct and exercise quality control on routine and special medical laboratory tests and examinations.

2.     Take charge of a medical laboratory, a section of Haematology Laboratory and Blood Bank, a Blood Bank/Rapid Response Laboratory shift duty, and an one man laboratory.

3.     Participate in method and instrument evaluation.

4.     Train laboratory staff.
 

Entry Requirements:

1.       Be a registered Part I (full registration) Medical Laboratory Technologist and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.

2.       At least 5 years' experience in medical laboratory services.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure:

1.       MSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent. (see Remarks 2)

2.       Contribution to professional development including research, teaching and training.

3.       Experience in Haematology, Blood Bank and Core Laboratory.

4.       Experience in Laboratory/Hospital Accreditation exercise.

5.       Competence in quality assurance management, method/instrument evaluation.

6.       Good communication and interpersonal skills.

7.       Empathy.

8.       Commitment to patient care.

9.       Leadership.
