Job Description - Member Services Assistant (5 days work)

Job Duties

  • Daily operations of the Member Services Desk, email control, phone call handling and in person member, guest enquiry.
  • Support Club Events registration.
  • Provide Members and Guests with high quality, five-star, personalized service which is professional and efficient, warm and friendly.
  • Effectively answer inquires related to membership, Club facilities, Club events, Club App, booking of facilities, including the Maritime Society Membership visitor slots, the Club’s F&B outlets, as well as Private Rooms over phone and emails with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist the Member Services Executive and Member Services Manager on administration tasks, and ensure the quality of service is measured and queries are followed through to maintain high services standards quality of service.
  • Ensure calls are answered within 4 rings.
  • That emails are responded to promptly, preferably same business day but no later than in 24 hours.
  • Daily tasks are performed as per department checklists.
  • Incidents, escalations, lost & found items are reported, recorded and followed-up, with SOPs followed.
  • Perform other duties/ad hoc projects as assigned by Member Services Manager.
  • Candidates with more experience may be considered for Member Services Executive position.

Job Requirements

  • College/University graduate in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience in a hospitality industry or club.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with above average English, Chinese preferred.
  • Available to work on shifts including weekends and public holidays.
  • Work Location: Tai Tam (transportation allowance applies) & Central.
  • 5-day work week, on roster.

  • Excellent English communication skills written and spoken.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Service Heart.
  • A flexible approach to problem solving and working with others.

Personality:

  • Initiative and proactivity.
  • Attention to details and well organised.
  • Must have a positive attitude to handle a high level of multitasking.
  • Outgoing and a helpful nature towards members, guests, staff team and third parties.
  • A high degree of common sense for making daily on-the-job decisions.
  • Enthusiasm and resilience.
