Middle Office Operations Analyst Equity Financing - J12880

Our client is a leading investment bank in Hong Kong. They are looking for a MO operation analyst to support the equity financing.

Responsibilities

1. Trade & Lifecycle Monitoring: Perform daily reviews of contract comparisons to identify and resolve economic discrepancies in Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) activity, return notifications, and bilateral/tri-party flows.
2. Collateral & Liquidity Management: Supervise domestic and international tri-party transactions, including trade matching, collateral allocation/release, and corporate liquidity pool funding. Manage intraday collateral substitutions to minimize intraday credit usage.
3. Risk Framework Enforcement: Maintain a robust control framework for all Equity Financing trading activity. Mitigate execution errors, manage operational risks, and ensure full alignment with regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
4. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate and build relationships with Front Office (Trading/Sales), local custodians, tri-party agents, SBL counterparties, and technology teams across APAC.
5. Team Uplift & Governance: Assist in updating policies and standard procedures while mentoring junior staff. Track project progress, maintain risk logs, and support governance reporting.

Requirements

1. Professional Experience: 4 years of in-depth middle office or post-trade operations experience, with a heavy emphasis on Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage, or Client Financing desks.
2. Domain & Product Mastery: Knowledge of Equity Financing products, including Securities-Based Lending (SBL) and secured funding mechanisms. Solid understanding of post-trade processes across APAC markets.
3. Communication & Influence: Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Proven track record of interacting confidently with Front Office traders and regional stakeholders at varying levels.
