Middle Office Reconciliation Analyst Capital Markets

The Company

Our client is a leading global financial institution with strong operations in APAC and EMEA, offering a wide range of Capital Markets services. The Hong Kong office is a key regional hub, known for its strong technical teams and dynamic environment.

The Team

You will join the Middle Office Reconciliation team, a critical group supporting a wide spectrum of asset classes including Rates, FX, Credit, and Derivatives. The team ensures data integrity across front-to-back systems, manages trade and position reconciliations, and works closely with trading, sales, and operations.

The Role

• Reconcile trades, cash flows, and positions (FOBO, FOFO, BOBO)
• Investigate breaks, identify root causes, and liaise with FO/MO/BO and IT teams
• Monitor and escalate aging breaks within regulatory timelines
• Perform anti-fraud checks and controls (CATS)
• Contribute to process improvement and risk mitigation initiatives
• Maintain a high level of internal and external service quality

The Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering
• 4 to 6 years experience in Capital Markets operations, preferably in reconciliation
• Solid understanding of Fixed Income, FX, and Derivatives products
• Strong analytical and investigative skills; detail-oriented
• Comfortable working under pressure and independently
• Proficient in English and MS Office; knowledge of systems like Murex, Summit, Kondor+ is a plus
