Job Description - Network Growth & Engagement Manager


About the Team: 

The Enterprise Solutions team is SCMP’s intelligence and network partner to corporations, providing B2B solutions including group subscriptions, licensing, merchandising, and community memberships. We aim to be the go-to source for high-quality corporate content, networking, and intelligence in the Asian market. Through our offerings, we empower corporate executives to make better business decisions, foster valuable connections, and reach their business objectives. The team is integral to SCMP’s revenue goals and commitment to service excellence.


Purpose of the Position:

As Network Growth & Engagement Manager, you will drive the expansion and engagement of SCMP’s expert and corporate networks within Greater China and globally. Your role is to identify, recruit, and activate top-tier experts and C-suite professionals, leveraging your experience from established existing expert networks or recruiting experience. You will orchestrate expert roundtables, events, and community initiatives, growing SCMP’s influence among business leaders and knowledge communities.

In this role, you will: 
  • Recruit and Build Networks:
    • Identify, engage, and onboard high-caliber experts and business leaders, leveraging your expert network experience.
    • Expand SCMP’s expert community through targeted outreach, referrals, and partnership development.
  • Custom Expert Engagement with Clients:
    • Design, organize, and execute expert roundtables, events, and digital forums.
    • Drive content and discussion themes that address current market trends and client needs.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, experts, and clients.
    • Nurture long-term partnerships to drive engagement, community growth, and revenue opportunities.
  • Cross-Function Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with sales teams to match client needs with the right experts and network opportunities.
    • Support B2B sales initiatives, including group subscriptions, community memberships, and knowledge products.
  • Market & Client Intelligence:
    • Gather, analyze, and report on market trends, expert insights, and client feedback to inform product and content strategy.
  • Database & Process Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of expert engagements and network activity using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
  • 5+ years’ experience working at a leading expert network, headhunting firm, or similar environment.
  • Proven track record in designing and executing expert roundtables, panel events, or executive forums.
  • Strong ability to pitch, recruit, engage, and cultivate networks of experts and senior professionals.
  • Event management experience, with ability to run events from start to finish.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin; able to engage senior audiences and facilitate high-level discussions.
  • Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple events, initiatives, and relationships simultaneously.
  • Team-player and understands how to work with different departments within the company. Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that can identify opportunities from the ordinary, with a roll up your sleeves can-do attitude.
  • Having a strong existing network in sectors such as Financial Services, Technology, or Professional Services is a plus.
 

Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
