New Job Opening: Executive VP - Global Quality Strategy in Hong Kong

About our client

A global sourcing and supply business serving major international brands and retailers is hiring a senior executive to lead its worldwide quality function. Reporting at the highest level of the organisation, you will set the direction for quality across a multi-region supply base and hold accountability for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Set the quality vision and multi-year roadmap for the business, and see it through across every region and product category


• Establish the standards, policies, KPIs and reporting framework that govern quality worldwide


• Oversee all quality assurance and quality control activity across the supply chain


• Build a "get it right the first time" culture using analytics, root cause analysis and continuous improvement


• Lead supplier quality management, including capability reviews and risk mitigation across the supplier base


• Direct investigations and corrective action programmes in response to customer complaints, product failures, recalls and non-conformance


• Work closely with commercial, product, technical and compliance colleagues to improve product and operational performance


• Build senior relationships with customers, brands, vendors and partners to align on expectations and resolve issues


• Introduce digital tools and new technologies that improve efficiency and transparency


• Grow and develop high-performing teams, with a focus on capability, succession and talent

Requirements

• A degree in a textile, fashion or related technical discipline


• 13+ years extensive senior experience leading quality across multiple countries in a manufacturing, retail or trading environment


• Strong technical grounding in product construction, production processes and quality systems


• Working knowledge of product safety and regulatory requirements in major Western markets


• A record of partnering effectively with international brands, retailers, suppliers and executive stakeholders


• Strategic and commercial judgement, with a data-led approach to decisions


• Excellent leadership, communication and change management skills


• Fluent English; additional Asian languages are an advantage
