Overview
Our client is a regulated payments and digital assets business expanding its Hong Kong operations. They're hiring an MLRO/Head of Compliance to lead compliance and financial crime locally.

The Role
You'll own the compliance and AML framework in Hong Kong, act as MLRO and manage relationships with local regulators as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as MLRO and lead the Hong Kong compliance function


• Maintain compliance with AMLO and relevant SFC, HKMA and Customs & Excise requirements


• Oversee AML/CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring and suspicious transaction reporting


• Support licensing work and ongoing regulatory engagement


• Advise senior leadership on regulatory developments across payments, virtual assets and stablecoins


• Build policies, procedures and training across the business

What You'll Bring

• Compliance or MLRO experience within payments, crypto, virtual assets or fintech


• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong AML/CFT and virtual asset regulation


• Experience engaging directly with Hong Kong regulators


• Hands-on, practical approach suited to a scaling business


• Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous

Package
Up to HKD 1,000,000 base plus bonus and benefits.
