New Role - Finance & Operations Manager - Leading Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund

My Client, a leading multi‑strategy hedge fund is seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to join its Hong Kong team. Key Responsibilities

Operations (≈50%)

• Oversee daily trade support, position reconciliations, and lifecycle management across global markets and asset classes.
• Coordinate with trading desks, prime brokers, and fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely trade capture, collateral, and cash management.
• Manage treasury operations, including liquidity and capital flow management, margin optimization, and cash forecasting.
• Drive operational process automation and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Support new strategy onboarding, product setup, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Finance (≈50%)

• Lead the finance function, overseeing fund accounting, management reporting, audit coordination, and regulatory filings.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and investor reporting in close collaboration with senior management.
• Partner with external parties including auditors, tax advisors, and service providers to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and refine the firm’s financial control framework and contribute to strategic decision-making initiatives.

Ideal Profile

• 5-10+ years of relevant experience within hedge fund operations, fund finance, or middle office roles.
• Understanding of multi‑asset products (equities, derivatives, etc.).
• Proven ability to execute in lean, high‑performance environments with a hands‑on, detail‑driven approach.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, able to balance tactical delivery with strategic input.
• Academic background in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; CPA qualification advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, front office, and external partners.
