Officer, Operations Risk Management

Job Summary:
Operations Risk Management Department is primarily responsible for monitoring and managing the clearing risk of HKEX clearing houses (being central counterparty) in accordance with the risk framework and policies, as well as the implementation of new / enhanced clearing risk framework, polices and measures for new products, services and risk initiatives. It also provides risk management support to Operations Division via establishing, maintaining and implementing divisional risk and controls governance framework and ensures consistency in application of risk practices in the division.

Responsibilities:

To provide support to risk management function in Operations Division, the successful incumbent is expected to:

• Provide support to central counterparty (CCP) risk management operations, including risk analysis of HKEX clearing houses and clearing participants
• Assist the team lead to establish and run the internal risk management framework in Operations Division to ensure the compliance with relevant internal policies and guidelines

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent; preferably in Risk Management / Finance / Economics or a related subject
• Holder of relevant professional qualification, preferably MBA, MS in Finance, FRM or CFA
• At least 2 years' relevant experience in risk management at a bank, asset manager, hedge fund or similar financial organizations is preferred
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
