Job Description - Operations Associate (Top Tier Multi Strat Hedge Fund)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Trading, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk teams to manage all stages of the trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes, including equities, listed derivatives, OTC derivatives, FX, and fixed income products.
Support trade booking, lifecycle event processing, P&L queries, and daily reconciliations.
Handle trade allocations, confirmations, settlements, option exercises/assignments, and other related activities.
Track mandatory corporate action events and coordinate with PMs and prime brokers on voluntary elections.
Execute corporate action processes for both equity and fixed income instruments.
Provide guidance to MO, Valuations, and Cash Reconciliation teams regarding corporate action discrepancies at system or prime broker level.
Monitor trade activity through external platforms such as PB portals and administrator systems.
Partner with Reconciliation and Control teams to maintain accurate internal books and records.
Identify operational inefficiencies and help design detailed requirements to resolve process gaps.
Understand broader operational goals to assist senior management in improving workflows and reducing risk.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, economics, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant experience.
General understanding of financial instruments-equities, fixed income, options, swaps, futures, FX-across global markets.
Strong knowledge of interest rate swaps, swaptions, and exchange‑traded derivatives is an advantange
Familiarity with fixed income and futures delivery processes.
Intermediate‑to‑advanced Excel skills.
Strong professional communication skills with both internal and external parties.
