Operations Manager - Single Family Office/ Asset Management Start-up

Background

Our client is a newly established Chinese asset management start-up backed by a Single Family Office. Based in Hong Kong, currently it has small but dynamic office, driven by a long-term vision and a commitment to excellence.

We are seeking an Operations Manager who is proactive, adaptable, and possesses strong communication skills. This role requires someone who can seamlessly manage business office operations, while embracing the entrepreneurial value of a start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the daily operations of the asset management entity, ensuring an efficiency, scalable and regulation-aligned office environment.
• Provide direct support to the Founder, including preparing meeting materials, executing projects, managing compliance, and coordinating internal communications.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers to facilitate smooth trade execution and operational flow.
• Liaise with regulators (SFC), auditors, accounting firms, technology vendors, and other external stakeholders
• Manage the Founder’s personal schedules, travel arrangements, events, and family-related matters with discretion and professionalism.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• Approx. 4–6 years of experience in business management, executive support, operations or related area.
• Big 4 from assurance/ risk assurance with an interest joining an in-house role.
• Prior exposure to family offices or experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, Founders, or Chairpersons is highly valued.
• Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent command of both Mandarin and English, written and spoken.
