Portfolio Financing Trader

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced trader to join our trading desk, focusing on stock borrow/lending, margin optimizations, and trade executions across multiple asset classes. The ideal candidate will manage our securities lending relationships while executing trades across various instruments with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize the firm's securities lending book, including locating hard-to-borrow securities and negotiating favorable lending rates
• Execute trades across multiple asset classes including cash equities, swaps, FX, index futures, and single stock options
• Maintain strong relationships with sell-side execution and stock lending desks
• Develop and implement best execution practices across the trading desk
• Monitor market liquidity and provide market color to portfolio managers
• Collaborate with risk and operations teams to ensure smooth settlement and position management
• Support portfolio managers with trading strategies that minimize market impact

• Minimum 5 years of trading experience with proven expertise in securities lending and multi-asset execution. Prior experience at hedge funds is a must.
• Demonstrated track record of establishing and maintaining productive relationships with sell-side execution and stock lending desks
• Extensive experience trading cash equities, FX, index futures, and single stock options in APAC markets. Experience with US markets is a plus.
• Strong understanding of market microstructure and execution algorithms
• Experience with best execution practices and transaction cost analysis
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is required
