FRONTIER TRANLSATIONAL MEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE

To accelerate the translation of groundbreaking medical research into real-world applications, the Frontier Translational Medical Research Institute (TMRI) works to bring promising medical biotechnology discoveries from the laboratory to the public, focusing on translational research, product development, and eventually, commercialisation.

Reporting to the Principal Investigator or his/her delegate, the candidate will be responsible for scientific inputs, research and development, and project management, mainly stationed at the University’s research facility located at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks. 

Post-doctoral Research Fellow / Research Associate (26270051)

Responsibilities:

The appointee will perform the following duties:

• To involve in vaccine research and development; 


• To assist with planning and implementing experiment works;


• To analyse results and prepare experiment reports;


• To maintain detailed, signed laboratory notebook; 


• To comply with all biosafety regulations; and


• To provide support for various tasks in relation to the research projects.

Requirements:

• A master’s degree or above from a recognised university in immunology, virology, molecular biology, or relevant biological sciences field, and with at least 4 years’ relevant post-qualification research experience.  Ph.D. degree holder may be considered for the post Post-doctoral Research Fellow;


• Experience with the following and other techniques: molecular cloning and expression of vaccine antigens, cell culture assay for neutralisation antibodies, flow cytometry analyses of T-cell responses, and nanoparticle formulation;


• A passionate and dynamic individual who possesses strong analytical and interpersonal skills, is attentive to details, and is a self-starter with the ability to work under pressure;


• Possess knowledge on method development; and


• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

The appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
