Job Description - Prime Equity Financing Middle Office AVP
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily middle office operations supporting Front Office trading across Delta One and Equity Finance products, including order management, trade capture, and custody processes
Partner closely with Back Office teams to ensure accurate and timely trade settlement, clearing, and reconciliation for listed and OTC products (e.g., swaps, futures, options, and other derivatives)
Design, implement, and continuously enhance the Target Operating Model (TOM), including operational procedures and contingency frameworks across trading platforms
Establish and monitor KPIs to track operational efficiency, service quality, and overall business performance
Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the development of standardized operating procedures and control frameworks
Manage corporate actions relating to swaps and hedging activities, ensuring accurate booking and reflecting entitlements in risk and trading systems
Act as the key point of contact for client account-related matters, including onboarding, funding, margin management, and securities/cash movements
Collaborate with Technology teams to enhance systems infrastructure, streamline workflows, and support integration between internal and external platforms
Work alongside Risk and Finance to strengthen operational controls and support audit processes, including annual fund audits
Lead or contribute to strategic and ad hoc initiatives, such as investor due diligence and broker onboarding
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
5-8 years of relevant experience in Middle Office or Operations within financial services, with strong exposure to trading environments
Solid product knowledge across Delta One instruments, including ETFs, equity swaps, futures, and forwards; prior exposure to Equity Finance desks is highly advantageous
Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, corporate actions, settlements, and reconciliations
Client-facing experience preferred, ideally within a Prime Brokerage environment
Demonstrated experience building, scaling, or managing middle office/operations functions across multi-location platforms
Familiarity with regulated environments and prior exposure to working with financial regulators is preferred
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access); VBA knowledge is a plus
