Job Description - Product Development Senior Manager, Insurance

Your new company
A well-established life insurance company is seeking a Product Development Senior Manager (Non-ILAS product).

Your new role
  • Lead the Non-ILAS product portfolio, defining product strategies, shaping new product concepts, and enhancing existing propositions to strengthen market competitiveness.
  • Drive product ideation and validation, conducting customer and frontline research to gather insights and test new product concepts.
  • Oversee end-to-end product development and launches, ensuring timely delivery, strong market alignment, and high product quality.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including Actuarial, Operations, Marketing, Distribution, Reinsurers, and Group Office-to execute product plans effectively.
  • Support multi-channel distribution (Agency, Bancassurance, Brokers, Partnerships) through product initiatives, training, and front-line engagement to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and group policies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct post-launch performance reviews and lead continuous improvement initiatives, while providing coaching and guidance to team members to foster a high-performance culture.
What you'll need to succeed
  • University graduate with 7-10 years of life insurance experience, preferably in product development, product strategy, or related functions.
  • Strong technical understanding of life insurance products, with hands-on experience in Non-ILAS products; exposure to ILAS is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in product development, product enhancement, or product planning, with the ability to drive initiatives independently.
  • Solid analytical capability, including experience in business planning, market analysis, or cross-functional project management.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with multi-channel distribution, such as Agency, Bancassurance, Brokers, or Partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across functions.
  • Leadership readiness, including experience in coaching or supervising team members and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
