Job Description - Project Manager - Banking

Responsibilities

Deliver project management and consultancy services for system implementation, workflow design, and process re-engineering within Commercial Banking.
Monitor project scope, resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders including business users, operations, IT, audit, legal, and compliance to maintain strong project governance.
Partner with CMB businesses/functions to prioritize projects, optimize resource allocation, and oversee overall budget management.
Lead change impact and adoption assessments to ensure business readiness post-implementation.
Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, recommending mitigation strategies as needed.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive efficiency and cost improvements.
Build and maintain a high-performing, engaged team that consistently delivers quality outcomes exceeding user expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualifications.
Minimum 5 years of banking experience, preferably with knowledge of business banking products and operations. Familiarity with lending, payments, wealth, or digital banking is an advantage.
Proven experience managing medium-to-large scale projects is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and adapt in an agile environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
High sense of ownership and customer-centric mindset to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
