Property Underwriter - Energy Focus

Role Overview

The Property Underwriter with Energy Focus is responsible for underwriting property risks, with a particular emphasis on energy-related projects and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwriting & Risk Assessment
• Evaluate and underwrite property risks, focusing on energy projects.
• Determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing in line with underwriting guidelines.
• Portfolio Management
• Monitor portfolio performance, including rate adequacy, loss ratios, and catastrophe exposure.
• Support renewal strategies and new business development.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure adherence to underwriting authority and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in property underwriting; exposure to energy risks is highly preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese is strong advantage.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team.
