Python Developer - Central Functions | Hong Kong- Systematic Quant Fund

Looking for a Python Engineer to join the Central Functions Development team to take ownership of a development framework from design through to release, based in Hong Kong.

This opportunity offers the chance to build out a suite of reconciliations and associate user interfaces, while also enhancing existing processes; designing and developing tooling to automate processes - trade bookings, related controls, etc. - and developing new features for the team's web application.

As a trusted partner and primary contact for the wider Operations & COO teams, this role would suit someone who has outstanding communication skills, with a background building strong relationships and interfacing directly with the business.

Requirements

• 2-3 years' Python development experience, including Pandas and Numpy
• Knowledge & experience of database concepts with proficiency in SQL
• Demonstrable troubleshooting ability to resolve issues in existing solutions
• Capable of balancing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment and self-organising
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business context
• Understanding of modern software architecture & cloud platforms (AWS is a plus)
• Financial services experience highly beneficial
