Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpret, implement, and evaluate the ongoing adequacy of EHS standard such as regular safety training, workplace safety meeting and on-site inspection;
  • Maintains EHS records, arrange training, compiles information, and prepares reports for internal and external activities and maintain Safety Management System (fulfil the ISO45001 requirement);
  • Performs preliminary review and analysis, including liaising with Wabtec teams for Incident near misses and first aid reporting;
  • Interfaces regularly with production, field service and leadership team during the resolution of EHS issues and implementation of corrective actions;
  • Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions;
  • Monitor and control the conformity on Development processes, based on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements, with a main focus on multi-sites projects;
  • Validate and check efficiency of factory and supplier’s action plan to reach Customer Quality expectations;
  • Audit on Supplier Quality Assurance processes (supplier selection, component validation) to ensure suppliers and components are properly validated and put under control as per ISO requirements, complete First Article Inspection (FAI) and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in timely manner;
  • Audit suppliers production line to ensure that Work instructions and Control Plans are properly defined to ensure conformity of the products;
  • Monitor and control the conformity on Development processes, based on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements;
  • Assess projects quality status of major projects. Assessment will be the input to the Project Phase Review (PPR) committee;
  • Ensure that QRQC methodology is properly applied for 8D analysis in resolution speed (48h / 10d / 30d);
  • Manage the customer quality interface, follow each issue and reported using Customer portals and as well using the Wabtec Incident Management tool (WIM).
  • Take the lead and coordinate problem solving in case of multi site issue or critical issue on-demand of Project Management Team (tbc, previous as PD&G BU Director). Ensure problems are properly closed by checking on site effectiveness and efficiency of action plan;
  • Establishes and maintains local Wabtec EHS Procedures, Policies, Registers and Regulatory and Auditing Programs in line with an IMS approach and maintain Quality Management system (fulfil the ISO9001 requirement);
  • Keep track of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); and
  • Performs duties required by the Regional and Global strategies.

Management Systems & Reporting

  • Maintains Quality & EHS records, compiles information, and prepares reports for internal and external stakeholders and regulatory bodies;
  • Performs audits in accordance with Wabtec/customer/industry standards, reports on results, assigns tasks, and monitors follow-up actions;
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of Quality & EHS systems and how they are applied onsite;
  • Participate in workplace inspections and safe work observations and
  • Weekly meeting to Quality Director – Access in order to report the progress status of action plan and missions.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years Quality and EHS experience
  • Experience in MNC and work with multi-sites is highly preferable;
  • Knowledge with Quality tools, QRQC/ PDCA/ FTA Analysis, ISO Audit (ISO 9001/45001), Occupational Safety Management/ Risk Assessment;
  • ISO45001 Experience/Certification/Lead Auditor Accreditation
  • Knowledge of EHS Management Systems, WH&S legislation, and local standards; and
  • Knowledge of service, manufacturing and workshop operations within the rail industries, rolling stock, automobile or related industries.
