Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor (Lift & Escalator)

Schindler Lifts (Hong Kong) Ltd is wholly owned by Jardine Schindler Group, a Joint Venture between Jardine Matheson, one of Asia's foremost trading houses and Schindler Group of Switzerland, Europe's premier lift and escalator company. We design, install, maintain and modernize any types of lift, escalator or passenger conveyor in South East Asia and Hong Kong.

We are now looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position(s):

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide contractual advice and analysis on tender documents / queries and contract documents.
• Billing and monitor collection of progress / debt payments, maximize company’s cash flow and continuously minimize company debts or receivables risk exposure.
• Support Project Managers throughout the post-contract phase, including WIP and Sales / Project handover meeting, advice on pricing of variations, claims, preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
• Prepare submission of surety bonds / warranties / guarantees, etc. if required.
• Implement and monitor compliance of Organisation Norm and policies, especially Operating Net Working Capital, Legal and Commercial Policy and Limit of Authority of the company.
  

Job Requirements

• A university degree or above in Surveying or Quantity Surveying
• With a minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience
• Strong analytical, negotiation and writing skills
• Accept mobility and short-term business travels when required
• Excellent command of English, Chinese and Mandarin
• Well versed in MS applications
