I am currently helping our Client seeking a RAD Developer to join the team in Hong Kong.

Role

• Maintain strong working relationships with trading teams; Global Markets.
• Actively define and implement automation solutions and enhance existing tools and processes to boost operational efficiency.
• Serve as an Agile Developer, overseeing the entire IT delivery lifecycle from gathering requirements to providing live production support; ensure compliance with IT best practices for secure and reliable systems.
• Provide primary support for the Front Office, promptly addressing urgent business support requests related to trading tools, primarily in Excel/VBA and Python.
• Employ strategic thinking by collaborating with peers across Asia and the central team in Europe to streamline the Front Office's technical environment into a cohesive and efficient platform.
• Embrace technology adoption by incorporating AI-assisted tools, such as GitHub Copilot, into daily tasks to improve development efficiency, safety, and quality of deliverables.
• Comprehend essential business needs related to both Vanilla and Exotic Products desks.
• Assist in the creation of new tools and the enhancement of existing ones, adhering to commando standards; mainly utilizing Python for backend development and Excel for frontend interfaces.
• Collaborate with a team of 3 commandos.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in IT development within the financial sector; highly qualified candidates with less experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of the Global Markets domain and market activities.

• Proven technical proficiency, particularly in SQL.
• Familiarity with C#, Python, and React.js.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• Strong determination and effective time management skills, with a focus on achieving goals.
• Proficiency in English for articulating technical concepts.
