Regional IT Manager (Retail)

• Reporting to Global IT Director, this role will be responsible for delivering information technology services to the business across multiple locations and countries in Asia, includes providing recommendations to enhance the business capability through the use of IT and implementing projects as assigned from the Group IT function to ensure on time and on budget delivery.
• Partnering with business functions to provide solutions and services to enhance business capability
• Manage and analyse current IT Systems, applications and resources
• Plan and manage implementation of new equipment and services
• Planning and controlling change to ensure minimum business risk and downtime
• Responsible for development and implementation of a scalable regional IT structure and team to support the expanding business requirements
• Day to day management and development of the IT resources across multiple locations in Asia
• Researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency whilst at the same time working within the defined Group IT guidelines
• Build and maintain good relationship with business users and constantly assess user feedback and make necessary improvements
• Able to agree priorities and timescales with the local management teams and Group IT to effectively manage resources and expectations
• Plan, develop and implement IT policies and procedures
• Accountable for ensuring all IT services are delivered and comply with current legislation, standards and best practice

Job Requirements

• Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent 
• Minimum 10 years solid experience with at least 5 years at managerial level 
• Experience in project management (including planning, budgetary control, people management), experienced in managing corporate-wide, regional large scale project and exposure to retail sector is an advantage 
• Leadership & stakeholder management is highly preferred 
• Experience of managing / running a 1st & 2nd line support function as well as network and Infrastructure experience 
• Knowledge of IT support functions including Help-desk, Storage Principles, Windows Services and software/Networking 
• ERP implementation and application management experience preferable 
• Experience of managing Windows and Mac operating systems and hardware an advantage 
• Ability to agree business requirements and convert into technical solutions where appropriate 
• Strong customer orientation, with good communication, interpersonal, analytical and troubleshooting skills 
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin is a MUST.
