Research Analyst / PM - Tier-1 Quantitative Hedge Fund - Systematic Equities / Commodities

We are partnered with a Tier-One, Multi-Billion Dollar Quantitative Hedge Fund, who are hiring a Research Analyst / PM into its systematic investment platform.

This is a high-calibre opportunity for candidates with experience in systematic investing, quantitative research, or trading. The firm is building out its research and investment capability across equities and commodities and is seeking exceptional individuals who can drive alpha generation, develop scalable systematic strategies, and contribute across the full investment lifecycle.

The mandate spans systematic equities and / or commodities, with scope across multiple trading horizons including intraday, medium-frequency, and longer-horizon systematic strategies. The firm is interested in individuals who bring genuine depth in quantitative research, and it is equally attractive to high-end researchers and candidates with broader PM-style ownership, including responsibility for portfolio construction, live strategies, or capital allocation.

Candidate profile:

1. 5-15 years’ experience in a leading quant hedge fund, quantitative investment platform, proprietary trading firm, electronic market maker, bank, or technology-led buy-side environment
2. Strong experience in systematic alpha research and signal development
3. A track record in equities, commodities, or both
4. Deep expertise in backtesting, model research, and quantitative strategy development
5. Strong understanding of portfolio construction, risk, and implementation considerations
6. Experience with live trading, production research environments, or real-money strategy deployment
7. Excellent programming and technical skills
8. A high level of comfort working with large datasets, research infrastructure, and data-intensive modelling workflows
9. Strong grounding in statistical modelling, and ideally exposure to machine learning, alternative data, or microstructure-aware research
