Research Assistant (25260783)

The Academy is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join a research project on the topic of gendered differences in mobility in Hong Kong, using wearable technology and web texting analysis approach.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in data collection and data cross-checking;


• Support literature review and data analysis; and


• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or above in the discipline relating to Social Sciences, Big Data & Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Cities, Urban Informatics, Geomatics & Geo-Informatics or a related field;


• Experience in wearable technologies, and media/Web text analysis technologies will be advantageous; 


• Have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; 


• Have good programming literacy, including Python, R, machine learning, AI, etc.; and 


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing as soon as possible. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
