Job Description - Residential Sales Manager

Overview Lutron has an Immediate opening for a Residential Sales Manager based in Hong Kong (Waichai). In this position you will help us develop and drive revenue locally and globally by partnering with architects, interior designers and influencers to integrate the Lutron solutions into their design projects. The Residential Sales Manager is responsible for specification and sales targets for direct residential specification business initially starting from HK and expanding to Macau and Taiwan market. They will be accountable for 3M residential specs for the first year with a close rate >50% the year after and they will inform the overall residential specification strategy and strategic planning for HK – direct offices and dealers. Responsibilities EXPECTATIONS Achieves annual specification and booking/sales targets Maintains and leverages deep top-to-top relationships with assigned (A&D) accounts to build an increasing Lutron opportunity pipeline and ensure consistent, long-term business Identify and develop Must Win specification accounts and earn a high percentage of assigned specification account’s mindshare to position Lutron as basis of design Penetrates firms, from principal and partner level through project designer level to ensure that all are fully knowledgeable, specify and defend specs of Lutron’s newest Residential innovations and technology solutions Acts as a consultant to the assigned accounts and provides Lutron solution to meet their vision and design intent Participates in and lead industry committees and thought leadership activities Develops residential A&D specific sales narratives that support brand and product initiatives Instill an appreciation of design in our salesforce to build a common language with client Assists in planning local events and tradeshows geared towards interior designers Partners with Lutron’s sales teams and dealers to identify, understand and coordinate a spec to close strategy on specified projects Maintains and manages assigned account profiles/contacts and opportunities in SFDC to facilitate direct marketing activities and support project management Communicates proactively with colleagues within the residential dealer channel and sales teams about Lutron sales opportunities beyond your assigned accounts Qualifications KSABs (Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, Behaviors) Deep knowledge and passion for luxury and design world including but not limited to art, architecture, fashion, Ability to learn, understand, and sell technical products in an experiential way Communication and presence – able to effectively communicate with principal level specifiers and local supervisor Fluent in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a bonus) Strategic thinking Organizing and time management skills Integrator - can work across and through the organization to get things done Be wordily and curious - knowledge and appreciation of diverse geographies, cultures, and the world of design Inspiring – to both clients and colleagues Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree. Minimum 5 years of experience including business development and consultative sales Experience in A&D or luxury market.
