Retail Brokerage Sales Director

About the role

We are hiring for a well-established financial institution for an experienced retail brokerage sales director to build and lead the development and launch of this function and to manage the team. This is a greenfield opportunity and will work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver a best-in-class retail investor experience.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop sales strategies for retail brokerage business including margin business
2. Develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales budgets and be responsible for achieving targets
3. Acquire new retail clients through online channels (social media, referrals, digital marketing leads)
4. Onboard clients to the mobile trading platform and explain product features
5. Promote equities, ETFs, margin products, and digital assets
6. Achieve monthly client acquisition and revenue targets
7. Build, train and manage the sales team
8. Ensure compliance with SFC regulations for client onboarding and suitability
9. Conduct market research and collect market intelligence

Requirements

1. 8+ years of retail sales experience in brokerage, wealth management, or fintech
2. Experience selling financial products online
3. SFC Type 1 & 4 license (or willingness to obtain)
4. Fluent Cantonese and English
5. Self-motivated and comfortable working to targets
6. Highly Desirable:
7. Background at a well established retail brokerage platform
8. Experience with crypto / digital asset products
9. Mandarin language skills
